This project’s aim is to develop technologies for designing integrated bio-refinery concepts, combining energy generation and bio-products.
Cenit BIOSOS covers the whole biomass value chain from the resource’s generation to its marketable end products. Thus the activities performed range from biomass production to primary transformations of biomass into intermediate products and the transformation of such products into marketable end products.
It uses CO2 for the cultivation of micro-organisms and forest mass (biomass) and in their transformation.
The project is partly subsidised by the ministry of finance and competitiveness through its Centre for Industrial Technology Development (CDTI) within the “Local investment fund for employment – government of Spain”
