The geological storage of CO2 is the final stage of the entire process of Carbon Capture, Transportation and Storage of carbon dioxide from anthropogenic emissions in large fossil energy consuming centers. The need to store large volumes so that the technologies are effective gives a fundamental importance to the identification of sites with storage capacity, to an adequate characterization of them and to the realization of a series of studies that allow a correct evaluation and prevention of the risks associated with these technologies, as occurs in any industrial activity.
